The Opportunity

Smurfit Westrock is looking for quality individuals to join our Production team at our paper mill facility in Stroudsburg, PA.

HIRING EVENT

When: Tuesday, May 6th
Time: 10:00am‑1:00pm and 3:00pm‑6:00pm
Where: Hampton Inn & Suites Stroudsburg Pocono Mountains
700 Commerce Blvd, Stroudsburg, PA 18360

We are interviewing for the following entry-level and skilled positions:

PRODUCTION WORKER
Responsible for general labor around the mill, including picking up paper, operating forklifts, handling chemicals, cleaning, and more.

• Starting Pay: $24.76/hour
• Shifts – Southern Swing:
  • Week 1: Saturday through Friday, 1st shift (7am‑3pm). Off for 4 days
  • Week 2: Wednesday through Tuesday, 3rd shift (11pm‑7am). Off for 2 days
  • Week 3: Friday through Thursday, 2nd shift (3pm‑11pm). Off for 1 day

MULTI-CRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Responsible for supporting operations and performing maintenance work on industrial equipment and machinery throughout the facility.

• Starting Pay: $34.27/hour
• Shifts:
  • Day Shift: 7am‑3pm, 12 on, 2 off (every other weekend off)
  • Evening Shift: 3pm‑3am, four on, four off

What You Need to Succeed

Production Worker
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong commitment to working safe, good communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery and have a desire to advance within the company.
• Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.

Multi Craft Maintenance Technician
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment such as saws, machining equipment, torches and welders;
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments, excellent problem solving skills.
• Able to perform at heights, in confined space, ability to lift 50 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred skills: JDE or other CMMS systems knowledge. Knowledge of paper mill processes and equipment. OSHA 300 certification.
